As information technology develops, Web application systems arise, which are applied in each area in the society.With the development of network transmission technology multimedium data compress,VOD(video-on-demand)becomes more and more popular on the Internet, Because the use of network becomes wider and wider and the network traffic is larger and larger, People request network communication has a high level quality.The rapid development of the communication network and the increasing popularization of servicer make it possible that we transmit real-time service in the network. However, high bandwidth and real-time features of video data require video server and network with performance. Too many users may cause and it proved bottleneck problem in server I/O bandwidth or network bandwidth,and it proved to be a major limiting factor in the widespread usage of VOD service.Our major goal is to break through the bottleneck problem and system architecture design.The transmission of VOD system with stream medium can meet the requirement of mass medium real-time and high handling capacity.This will be a process with innovation and exploration.At first,in this paper,we mainly research on the strategy of advancement of vod with stream medium. The paper complies with stream medium basal Principle first starting, medium compression form(MPEG series standard) Then,To address keeping the QoS in the whole VOD system,An optimized program management method was presented and analyzed. As for the aspect of the passed path,it presents an accelerating weighted cost dynamic multicast algorithm which originate from Dijkstra algorithm.Secondly,data cache strategy is one of the key technologies of the streaming medium software play quality, based on the fact that most user requests concentrate on few hot video.Now QoS has became one of the focus of network researching field. In order to improve the problem of vod server data cache,we design the cache strategy of the current streaming medium is AMPC(Advance Multi Pacthing Cache), the strategy cache are based on RTP/RTCP protocol.In order to analyze the performance of AMPC strategy,the thesis utilizes to simulate this strategy in network.The simulation results are analyzed to verify the performance of AMPC according these bases:user's play fluency,After that,a conclusion can be drawn that the AMPC cache stragety works relatively better than others at the play request the server.it has strong self-adaptability and practicality about aspect of QoS dynamic cache respond.The result of my paper research has high applied value on unrational resourse utility of the current video-on-demand system.With the technology of network and multimedium constant developing,this stragety would broaden the road of VOD system development,and it has a expansive applicable prospect.
