TRAD (Towed Radar Active Decoy) becomes an efficient way against radar -guided missile, and it plays an important role in electronic warfare. Based on the modeling and simulation of SAM (Surface to Air Missile) weapon system, this thesis researches the jamming mechanism and the key parameters of TRAD, analyzing the jamming effectiveness of TRAD with different jamming methods by the method of functional simulation and coherent video signal simulation.Firstly, Simulation model about monopulse doppler radar seeker is presented, as well as the jamming effectiveness of TRAD to monopulse doppler radar seeker is simulated. Then, through the theoretical analysis and a large number of simulation experiments, some design principles and tactical properties of TRAD are proposed. Secondly, starting with the format of jamming signals, the jamming principle of continuous repeater jamming, twinkle jamming and noise jamming is analyzed. The jamming effectiveness of TRAD with the different interference pattern is assessed. Thirdly, fighter maneuver under the conditions of TRAD jamming is analyzed and simulated, which shows that the integration of fighter maneuver and TRAD technology is the optimal maneuver evasion mode. Finally, Anti-TRAD techniques is proposed, which points out the best angle of incidence of missile, and the method of distinguishing target and TRAD spectrum in the frequency domain to achieve the target and TRAD sorting and then to implement effective tracking of target.
