This paper discusses the factors affecting the angle measuring precision of monopulse radar working in Doppler-mode,and provides some improving method.A lot of experiments and simulations prove these methods effective. The average square root of the angle error can be decreased to 10%.First,this paper presents the theory of monopulse Doppler radar,introduces the components of the radar,and contrast the Doppler-mode and non-Doppler-mode of angle distinguish.This paper analyses the data obtained from a radar system,the result shows there are many odd value and irregular data.Many methods are brought out to reduce the average square root of the angle error.The simulation indicates the methods can improve the angle measuring precision.Given the frequent estimate precision of the FFT method is not very satisfying,this paper suggest use the super resolution method to estimate the Doppler frequent of echo wave.This method improves the angle measuring precision greatly.To investigate the influence of the object fluctuation to the angle measuring precision,this paper involves the digital simulation of the monopulse radar.The result shows the object fluctuation has some effect on the measuring precision.
