With the development of microelectronics technology and distributed fieldbus technology,train more and more use of the train communication network.and gradually realized the train control system's intelligent,networking and information.MVB is developed specifically for the railway vehicle dedicated network with high speed communications, real-time is good.However, MVB is specifically developed for the train communication network, its scope, suppliers, economy are not as good as CAN bus. CAN bus as a field device level communication bus, compared with the other buses with high reliability and cost performance.Therefore, it is a lot of locomotive train communication network systems are used to CAN bus and the MVB forms composed of heterogeneous networks.The two bus connections as the MVB-CAN gateway is also more and more attention.Most of railway rolling stock in China by the backbone network TCN bus protocol,the car-class network with MVB network protocol. Taking into account some vehicle equipment only with CAN bus interface (Such as vehicle factory in the market purchase additional common equipment or other monitoring equipment, not equipped for the price or other reasons MVB interface),this part of the monitoring equipment should be incorporated into cars backbone,there is MVB and CAN data communication problems. This paper studies the interconnection problem of equipment with CAN interface and the MVB network.Based on the MVB and CAN communication protocol in-depth analysis, thereby enabling an MVB-CAN gateway design, efficient completion of the data communication between the two protocols. This article focuses on the three parts of MVB-CAN gateway system:hardware design diagram,software design and system performance testing. Completed the interface module design of the MVB and CAN bus in hardware part design and the Gateway based on PC 104 bus. System initialization and bus data exchange is a key part of software design,MVB bus and CAN bus data transceiver programming in the software section of this article are also discussed in detail, and test performance of system gateway.
