Design And Implementation Resource Management System Based On OGRE Framework In 3D Online Game

Resource Management System (R.M.S.) is an indispensable and important part to game engine. There must be a effective R.M.S. in a good game engine, to manage loading, using, uninstalling and other operation dealing with resource in game developing.Nowadays, a game can not be developed without good game engine, as well as a good game engine can not exist without available R.M.S., which is used to manage every kinds of resource used in game development and to keep resource working ordered on game running. As the resault of that, we can enhance efficiency of game running and make the player enjoy fluent and clear image, so resource management strategy is significance of optimization in game engine.This paper is about my research on Resource Management System. I learn much usefull technique from OGRE, the open-resource graphic rendering frame. I want to find advantage in framework and operating, as well as to find disadvantage in design and function, by analysing the resource management method in OGRE. At the sam time, I also want to make use of these advantage and improve these disadvantage in practice. I work in "KONG" company. The job is a good opportunity to practise the thought and test the code in this paper, as the same time the research in this paper has been devoted towards the development of the real online game "LOONG". During the time doing all of these above, I try to optimize the R.M.S. designing based on OGRE framework, to make the R.M.S. to template for widely using, to research how to dynamicly load and unload resource. In this way, R.M.S. will be widely used in game engine development, because it is flexible, steady,easy to extend, together with the convenience for game developer.
