Coal yard fire is a threat to the large coal-fired boilers of thermal power plants. Discovering a fire at an early stage by means of video monitoring has been a hot issue in recent years. This paper gives a research on image acquisition and processing of the coal yard fire video based on embedded platform, including building hardware platform based on ARM, reinforcement and migration on LINUX, and developing image acquisition driver of CCD camera.Identification of suspicious regions is realized and the accuracy of fire image recognition is improved by use of the Pan& Tilt. This paper developed the hardware circuitries and software program of the system, including video capture module circuit board and its driver development program, controlling of the Pan& Tilt, and displaying the images on LCD. Experiments proved that the program realized the acquisition of image acquisition, and identification of suspicious regions with Pan& Tilt effectively. |
