Coverage and connectivity are two fundamental aspect in the coverage issue of wireless sensor network (WSN), Connectivity indicates every node can communicate with any other nodes in WSN directly or indirectly. It's a sufficient condition to create a multi-hoop network by self-organized nodes. Coverage means that overall supervision area should be covered by deploying all nodes within the network, in order to collect all information. Coverage issue not only decides whether a WSN can work effectively or not, but also comes to a decision on function, existence time of the network to a large extent, which is a basic issue in the WSN.In the WSN, the node deploy mode influenced the function and the efficiency of WSN to a large extent. As WSN deploys a great deal of redundancy node to carry out the comprehensive coverage of the network, for the sake of energy saving, it's a kind of effective mode by adopting dynamic restitution of node working status. Most research on coverage issue of WSN aims at isomorphic nodes, however, which gives little attention on heterogeneous nodes. There haven't been effective solutions up to now. It's a relevant efficient and practical mode by adopting Probability Coverage Model in the research on coverage issue of WSN, which can obtain more accurate data.Based on analysis of energy consumption ratio model, this thesis designs participation degree coverage control model and settles the coverage issue of heterogeneous sensor network in a better way, with the combination of node probability coverage model. HSPC algorithm has been proposed on the basis of participation degree coverage model, which is an effective improvement compared with EACCP algorithm. With analysis of algorithm design principle, research purpose and method, the specific algorithm description and algorithm flow chart have been given in this thesis. Experimental emulation of the algorithm has been carried out by OMNET++ experimental instrument. lifetime. Participation degree model is more suitable for the study on heterogeneous sensor network, as it not only considers energy consumption rate between node instant energy and initial energy, but also considers the physical character of heterogeneous nodes and node coverage probability. Participation degree model is more efficient than energy consumption rate model according to experimental data. The theoretic value of this thesis is fully observed as HSPC algorithm is more efficient than EACCP algorithm in each experimental index, with adoption of coverage degree model.
