Research And Implementation Of Campus Information Portal Based On Liferay Portal Technology

With the development of information and communications technology, digital campus technology has made rapid progress, so that the teachers, students and staff in colleges and universities, can obtain the large amounts of information and related services which is unprecedented. However, the amount of information and services is so huge so that they completely lost themselves and don't know what to with them. So they are demanding higher accuracy for the integration of information increasingly as well as the convenience of access to information. In this case, the need of a single portal to customize and access the information becomes abnormal urgent. Campus information portal is against this background that came into being, and it allows the user in colleges and universities to obtain specific information no longer have access to a large number of network systems, but rather get through the "portal".In this paper, I have done depth study and research into Portal, and have developed a prototype of the campus information portal combined with a really project in Northeast Normal University. The work I have done like this:(1) Analyzed the status of the digital campus, and proposed that the campus information portal is the reliable solution to solve the problems faced by building digital campus;(2) Introduced some of the related technologies need to use in this paper, specially on the analysis of Struts, Hibernate and Spring, and on the integration between these three technologies and Liferay;(3) Introduced the single sign-on technology, in-depth study of the open source single sign-on technology products Yale-CAS, and realized the integration with Liferay to complete the single sign-on;(4) Depth researched on Portal technology, on the basis of depth analysis and understanding of the background of Portal's appear and the function of Portal, conducted a preliminary implementation of campus information Portal with the open source portal frame named Liferay, and all the technologies about single sign-on, personalized customization and Web Remote Portlet Service of the Liferay are applied to achieve the shape.
