The Research And Application Of Rails Framework And Semantic Web Technology In Web Development

This thesis takes Rails framework and Semantic Web technology as the main research contents, trying to improve the drawbacks of traditional frameworks, which are difficult to response to the quickly changing user requirements in time and can't meet the vision of Web3.0, migrating to the Semantic Web. This thesis solves these problems by combing Rails framework and Semantic Web technology. Firstly, by comparing Rails with traditional frameworks, this thesis studies on Rails from three different angles: agile development, REST style and mashup. Secondly, this thesis researches on the application of Semantic Web technology in ontology learning, semantic annotation and semantic retrieval, and proposes a novel relational database-oriented ontology learning method and ontology-based personalized semantic retrieval model. Finally, based on these studies, a system called Blog on Rails has been built to validate these researches and put them to use.
