Long-pipe space of high-way tunnel induce the severe air pollution, widely different brightness between in and out of the cavity, narrow traffic space and the difficulty to fire fighting in it, which bring about hidden trouble of security in tunnel traffic, however, the tunnel fire is the most dangerous. Establishing a perfect tunnel fireproofing system is a significant work, which could put out the generated fire in its germination or developing initial stages, minimizing the disaster loss.The fire alarm monitoring system could automatically monitor tunnel space every time and every where without clearance and false interruption, which must be credible, advance and has the characteristic of high sensitivity and low misinofrmation.In nearly several years, FBG sensor is the hotspot of research in the field of fiber sense technology and the powerful competitor in strain and temperature measurement for its many advance better than traditional sensor. FBG temperature sensing monitor system employing FBG sensors has been widely applied in many trades such as petrochemical, electric power, metallurgy, architecture and communication etc. The system is applied in the field of tunnel fire alarm monitor, supplemented by video surveillance system review, and linked with the fire control system, which is one of the innovations in this paper.Based on the all-around understanding actual studies in the field of tunnel fire, analyzing the existing tunnel fire alarm monitoring system, a new type of system that employs FBG temperature sensing detector is designed. At the same time, the corresponding subsystem video surveillance and fire control linkage system also carried out a more detailed description. The three major subsystems will be connected, constituting a complete set of tunnel fire safety monitoring system. The contributions of this paper are:â‘ Using optical fiber grating sensor technology for automatic tunnel fire detection can overcome the traditional electric type sensor susceptible to electromagnetic interference effects, through the wavelength demodulation and multiplexing to detect a significant increace in the distance. â‘¡Using video surveillance subsystem can identify and locate the fire alarm subsystem alarm information, preventing false alarm caused from the external environment, thereby enhancing the stability and reliability of monitoring systems.â‘¢The degree of intelligent control system has greatly improved by use of the bus control mode and hierarchical management model, through the establishment of multi-platform, multi-system under the unified management platform to realize all the points within the system control center to monitor the host and monitoring equipment a unified and orderly co-ordination and management.
