Research On Key Technology In Document Management System

With the development of enterprise information technology, a variety of electronic documents increased during the business process. In addition, the company also hopes to turn paper documents into electronic documents, in order to facilitate the circulation, access, long-term preservation and sharing of the document in the sector, thereby enhancing the utilization and value of the document. Therefore, more and more enterprise begins to pay more attention to document management. However, enterprises in the process of document management often met many problems, for example, documents often need mass storage, the searching is low efficiency, document version management becomes confused, document safety is lack of security, document sharing can not be effective collaboration, knowledge management have difficulties. Therefore, document management has become a hot research in home and abroad.Based on the research situation of domestic and international document management systems, the thesis proposes using metadata technology to solve problems in resource description, search, share and long-term preservation; proposes applying the next-generation access control-usage control UCON to solve document security issues.The thesis firstly introduces the basic theoretical knowledge of document management and document management system; the next, represent the basic theory in metadata, focuses on the metadata description mechanisms and metadata standards, specified describes metadata description language-XML and the framework-RDF; thirdly, the thesis reviews the characteristics of traditional access control models and applications, pointed out its problems, based on the this study, the thesis primary studies usage control model-UCON, analysis its new features and core models.According to the features of document management systems, the thesis proposes a file system and relational database mixed-used storage strategy; based on the understanding of metadata basic theory, the thesis puts forward a metadata acquisition program, gives examples of metadata description in document management system; based on the theory in usage control model-UCON, the thesis designs the access control model in electronic document management system. The thesis provides a useful reference for the research about document management systems.
