With the impact of environmental changes by the weather,the visual effects of the outdoor LED display's brightness, contrast that people can watch would be a certain degree of decline, resulting in the information displayed colors dim, blurred, affecting view and appreciation of the entire LED display screen.This paper analyzes the mechanism of an impact that the atmospheric absorption, scattering, environmental illumination make on brightness and contrast of outdoor LED display screen. In sunny, foggy, rainy day under various weather conditions, the transmission attenuation from the atmosphere and visual characteristics of the human eye's subjective starting theoretical analysis of the brightness and contrast adjustment, in turn, described the LED display brightness and contrast control principle.
