Active and passive radar composite seeking technology is one of multi-mode composite seeking technologies. The performance of whole weapon system is sharply improved by the complementarities of active and passive radar system. Active and passive radar composite seeking technology is already becoming important direction of the current research.Based on the requirements of the active-passive composite seeking radar simulation, relying on a concept of modular design, this paper first introduced the active and passive radar simulation system scheme, whose overall framework is described in detail. In the second part, several key models of the system are established: environment echo model, coherent active radar seeker model, non-coherent active radar seeker model, passive radar model, information fusion model and performance evaluation model. Based on these models, system simulation model is established including active single seeking system simulation model, passive single seeking system simulation model and active and passive composite seeking system simulation model under different composite mode, then vc and matlab hybrid programming techniques and vega three-dimension visual simulation technology are mainly adopted to develop simulation software. Finally, taking LFM signal and coherent active radar seeker as an example, the active single seeking radar system and the active and passive composite seeking radar system are simulated and evaluated, the results of which are given to clarify performance superiority over positioning accuracy and anti-jamming of the active and passive radar composite seeking mode.
