Realization of networked embedded devices is currently a new hot spot in the embedded technology development and research. ADSP-BF533 as an embedded DSP processor with low power consumption and strong parallel processing capability is widely used in embedded devices, especially audio and video products. The paper designs an embedded TCP/IP protocol stack based on the ADSP-BF533, implements network communication capability of the embedded hardware that has a certain degree of theoretical and practical application value. The paper researches embedded technology and DSP technology, and analyses several current popular embedded TCP/IP protocol stack projects. The stack hardware based on DSP is designed, adopting the ADSP-BF533 as core processor to control the interface units and peripherals. The network interface chip DM9000 achieves encoding and decoding of the bottom network data.Papers employs modular programming method to implement the design and debugging of the protocol stacks from the bottom-up procedures based on TCP/IP protocol stack hierarchy. Efficiency of data accessing is improved by defining a separate data structure pointer and data buffers. It also achieves datagram processing's optimization for the protocol modules. The hardware platform and embedded TCP / IP protocol stack are tested in LAN of the lab. Test results prove that the hardware and protocol stack work properly and functions are normal, reaching the desired target.
