Wireless sensor networks are an emerging discipline which are associated with sensor technology, computer technology, network technology and communication technology, and have a wide application prospect and great value in military, commercial and other fields. WSN nodes are mostly used in power supply because of the constraints of technology and cost. It is a hot topic to extend the network lifetime of WSN by balancing the energy consumption of the entire network and reducing the energy consumption of individual nodes. In addition, in certain applications such as multimedia data transmission the network bandwidth and data transmission delays should also be considered.Routing protocol is one of the key technologies of WSN, and has a significant impact on energy consumption and data transmission delays of the network. Multi-path routing protocol can establish multiple data channels between the source and destination nodes, can balance the network energy consumption and increase network throughput effectively, and has also advantages in satisfying the QoS. The node disjoint multipath routing protocol has no common nodes in its paths except the source and destination nodes, has greater advantages in load balancing, fault tolerance and increasing bandwidth of network, and can support more efficient and reliable data transmission. In practical applications, there are high differences in link quality between different nodes and in residual energy of different node in WSN, as well Introducing high quality links and high residual energy node to the routing is important in improving data transmission reliability, saving energy transmission consumption of single node and balancing the total energy transmission consumption of whole network. We also took into account the data transmission delay, designed a High-Efficiency Node-Disjoint Multipath Routing (HENDMR). Main achievement of this paper are summarized as follow:①Using link model proposed by M. BUSS, we quantified the link quality between nodes as data receiving rate, introduced parameters about residual energy of node, data receiving rate and hops of path, and defined the path efficiency model.②Introducing the path efficiency model, We designed HENDMR algorithm basing on SMR and TinyONDMR agreement, and a low overhead algorithm for intermediate nodes forward RREQ message was given especially.③The simplified HENDMR algorithm was realized in the node platform which was developed by Institute of Micro Electronic Mechanical System and Precision Mechanical Engineering, Dalian University of Technology.④We tested the performance of HENDMR algorithm in the multi-node distributed randomly scene by using network simulation software, NS2, and compared With the SMR and TinyONDMR algorithm.
