With laser weapons use gradually in the modern battlefield, laser interference technology has been developed rapidly. To achieve the high peak power, high pulse energy, high repetition rate laser sources for the laser interference, the multi-stage amplification technology is generally used after the Q-switched laser in domestic. It leads to the huge size, but not suitable for mobile use.According to the high peak power, high pulse energy, high repetition rate laser and optoelectronic countermeasure demand, We modulate the high energy Nd: YAG laser with frustrated total internal reflection Q-switch on the base of single pumping module and obtain a pulse with high pulse energy, high peak power, high repetition rate, narrower pulse width, Some efforts have been done in this thesis:1. The principle of CCD damage by many kinds of type laser was discussed in the laser interference. And the great practical meaning for single high peak power and high energy ns level pulse laser was discussed too.2. According to the Q-switch principle, several Q-switch technologies were analyzed in this thesis. Such as electro optics Q-switch, acoustics optics Q-switch, Rotating mirror Q-switch and so on. We modulate the high energy Nd: YAG laser with frustrated total internal reflection Q-switch on the base of single pumping module in the end.3. The phenomenon of total internal reflection and the distribution of energy flow of total internal reflection were analyzed; the formation of evanescent waves was described when the phenomenon of total internal reflection occurs. Formula of frustrated total internal reflection was calculated and simulated.4. We analyzed the shortcomings of the current frustrated total internal reflection laser Q-switch, and the prism of frustrated total internal reflection laser Q-switch was optimized, resolve the optical plastic problem between two prisms, but also improve the speed of switching. And according to the factors of frustrated total internal reflection laser Q-switch, experiment of pulse Nd: YAG laser was researched and analyzed, modulation of laser pulse was achieved basically. At last the pulse energy was about 0.45J, pulse width was 100ns, peak power was 4.5MW pulse laser was detected when resonant cavity length at 680mm, output-transmittance at 70 percent, frequency of flash at 1Hz, pump time at the 0.3ms, laser supply voltage at 710V.
