The Design And Implementation On Internet Platform For Ideological And Political Education Of Students In College

In today's information society, with the rapid development of Internet technology, various applications of Internet, especially in higher education, are getting increasing attention. Education based on Internet as an open educational system has become more and more popular among educators.This thesis aims to probe into the construction of an Internet platform for ideological and political education of students in higher schools, so as to build new carriers and open new channels of communications between teachers and students. The platform has broken the limitation of the traditional ideological and political education patterns on both time and space, promoted the instruction efficiency and quality, and made meaningful contributions to the realization of true quality education, flexible individualized education, and the training of competent socialist builders and successors.The thesis has made research in the following aspects.1) In the light of my practical work, an Internet platform has been designed for the students ideological and political education in HEBUST by adopting such Internet technologies as .NET, Internet communications, Internet multimedia, Internet programming, and Internet data base.2) Based on Internet and Intranet environment, the platform consists of the system management and maintenance module (including the management and maintenance of customers information, documents files, video information, and test questions), online study module, online exam module and interaction module. The platform adopts B/S triple structure framework, C# language, Web server of IIS5.0, and data base platform of SQL Server2000.3) Having compared the few algorithms for the automatic forming of test papers, a relatively advanced genetic algorithm has been chosen to fulfill the tasks of online study and online exam on the Internet platform, including the selection of exam items, the automatic compilation of papers, the automated grading, teachers'correction, independent learning and interaction between teachers and students. The platform plays an important role as the supplement and extension to the current means of ideological and political education in higher schools.
