Two-dimensional piping layout is an engineering drawing, which is planned and designed by engineering design units, and is referred to install by constructing units. It is a currently accurate presentation and constructing basis, which is taking the dominant position, in piping design and construction area. This figure is widely applied to some engineering constructions such as chemical industry, petroleum industry, electric power industry, environmental protection, municipality, and so on. However, two-dimensional piping layout is short of vivid and intuitive expression, so it will be unfavourable for project technical and management staff to analyze quickly and understand correctly.If it can convert two-dimensional piping layout to 3D graphics, it is not only vivid, intuitive and also easy to operate rapid analysis, calculation and interference checking under the help of CAD software. And then, it will be extremely helpful for engineering design, rebuilding and expanding. This article, mainly aiming at 2D piping layout, implements pretreatment technology research for 3D reconstruction.Pretreatment technology is an indispensably important link in 3D reconstruction technique of the piping, and determines whether the operation of later 3D reconstruction is successful or not. The main difficulty in the pretreatment stage is how it makes correct extracting, recognition, matching and storage in multifarious graphical information of two-dimensional piping layout with CAD software and its programming technique, and establishes effective 3D reconstruction data sets. In order to obtain graphic pretreatment data information closely related with 3D reconstruction, the article has mainly conducted some research as follows: (1) the expressing standardization technology of two-dimensional piping layout; (2) the graphic feather analysis and recognition technology of piping layout; (3) the graphic data information filtering, and extraction technology of piping layout; (4) the 3D pretreatment information storage, matching technology; (5) pretreatment information system interface design and development.Through the five aspects of technology research and program development above, it has realized graphic expressing standardization of 2D piping layout, and its graphic data information automatic recognition, storage, and engineering semantic matching. And thus it has also established novel and effective pretreatment information database of 3D reconstruction, furtherly laid an importantly material base for automation and intelligent of subsequent 3D solid reconstruction.
