The industry boiler is the most important heat energy power equipment in china, so it has great importance to realize the monitoring and auto control system of the industry boiler. This paper focus on the design of monitoring and auto control system for industry coal fired steam boiler.According to the Characteristics of industrial boiler system, system is designed to Distributed Control System. Advantech industrial computer 615 was selected for Epigynous machine, and ADAM5550 which was also produced by Advantech was selected for hypogynous machine. The software used for epigynous machine and hypogynous machine are KW-Multiprog and Advantech WebAccess.This paper designed the control method of water level control system and combustion control system, the combustion control system is composed by three sub-system: steam pressure control system,hearth negative pressure control system and combustion economical control system. These two system can fulfill the main control task of the whole boiler control system. Considering the control needs,restriction of hardware and practicability of different control algorithms, the water lever and combustion system were controlled by PID algorithm and cascade control. There is a local display system, it was realized by programs which was write in VS.NET using VB language. The monitoring system was realized by WebAccess in hypogynous machine. In monitoring system, function of Real-time trend, Historical trends, Alarm Record and Alarm Summary were also added expect for data display and basic animation.It is true that test the performance of the control system through a real boiler is kind of difficult, however the simulation results of WebAccess through TCL scripts indicate that this paper's monitoring and auto control system has great stability, short regulation time, high control precision and friendly interface for operators. So the design method and solution stated by this paper have high practical value and theoretic significance.
