WLAN(Wireless Local Area Network) is one of the hotspot in currently WLAN research field. IEEE 802.11n-standard's coming, causes fundamental changes in WLAN field. It can provide higher transmission rate and better transmission quality compared with 11a/11g standard, which is mainly due to MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) technology introduced by 802.11n.This paper mainly research on the physical layer of IEEE 802.11n WLAN standard, build workflow of transmitter and receiver, further research on Transmit Diversity and Spatial Discrimination Schemes in MIMO technology, and show the performance under different space-time coding, different transmit antennas and receive antennas systems by simulation. Then, introduce design of software radio, hardware debugging on a general software radio platform and a workflow fitting this system. Finally finish main functions of MIMO-OFDM system on the platform and implement of data transmission between terminals of different computers.
