Field bus is essential in the control area, while the communication between motor drive control system and PC is also irreplaceable in automation and remote control of the motors, so it is popular in studying on communications of the field bus in the control field. This paper focuses on the serial communications between PC and the Variable Voltage Variable Frequency (VVVF), which is one of the main components, under the RS-485 and Profibus bus conditions; besides, we focus on the circuit design of the optical fiber communication and achievement.This paper mainly reaserch the RS-485, which is used to realize the communication between PC and the VVVF. And we achieve the synchronization control of the VVVF and ensure the precision display of the parameters in time, by developing the user's interface with VB6.0, after the preparation and revision of procedures, and following the communications agreement USS of the HI2 series VVVF.The paper also discusses the practical application of Profibus, and we realize the serial port correspondence. The serial communication between the PC and the Fe series VVVF is also in reference to lots of related literatures, and combined with the specific requirements of the project. We systematically study on the SIMATIC NET Industrial Ethernet which is most widely used in industry control field, as well as the control and monitoring software: STEP7 and WinCC, and select RXFEDP01 as the field bus adapter, and finally get a successful operation by programming and debugging.This paper also gives a comprehensive study of the communication principles and the system construction of the optical fiber communication, and a serious study of the working principle of the main chip LM331, and finally gives the communication circuits design process. After the debugging and waveform verification, it turns out that the communication is good, with the error rate of the input signals is less than 1%.
