Torreyagrandis is a rare dry fruit in China, which has been more than 1300 years. It is one of economic forest species which have better economic benefits and mainly distributes in Huiji mountains of Zhejiang province, China. In recent years, the higher the value of Torreyagrandis, the more the planting. But up to now, it is little information on Torreyagrandis growing factors and lack of quantitative research on its growth Suitability, which result in low production and poor quality of Torreyagrandis introducted and cultivated. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the resources of high-quality Torreya with remote sensing, and study its growth suitability to Torreya grandis, which improve planting scope, yield and quality.Based on IKONOS images combination of DEM, the study extracted the area of Torreyagrandis trees, and analyzed the environmental factors affecting Torreyagrandis growth, and developed three-dimensional analysis of Torreyagrandis information, located at high-yield Torreya districts near the village of Zhongjialing, in town of Zhaojia of Zhuji City. The main results of this study are as follows:(1) on the basis of previous studies, using object-oriented classification of the IKONOS images within the study area, classification, distribution of resources to be Torreyagrandis region, as well as to evaluate the classification accuracy that the use of high-resolution images Torreya resource survey is feasible.(2) Extracting elevation, slope, aspect, surface curvature, solar radiation index and humidity from DEM in the area of Torreya, the study evaluated the influence of topographical factors and soil type on its growth using the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method. In addition, the evaluation results were divided into three types for the most appropriate category, sub-category suitable and unsuitable one with considering land use.(3) Developing the stand-alone display system of three-dimensional analysis on Torreya with C # language in Microsoft Visual Studio. NET 2005. The system is easy to use and enables data management, display, query, and the generation of contour lines, slope and aspect as well as the three-dimensional view flight.
