Research And Implementation Of Service Charging Based On Rule Engine

With the development of modern service industry, various business information systems are introduced, one of the key issue is how to share in financial rewards among service providers to achieve a sustainable operation goal. Therefore, high-efficient, flexibility and scalability of the service charging software are essential.Rule engine technology has flexible business rule editor and efficient executing mechanisms, updating a rule is agile and low cost, consequently, rules engine and its improved technologies are applied to service charging areas.In this paper, we give an in-depth analysis for rete algorithm; cover every key components of a simple rete network. Moreover, in view of the business requirements for timing chargeback, we make in-depth study on temporal data improvement for traditional rete algorithm; including the form of temporal data, add primitives for rule expression to support temporal data triggering, and garbage collection for temporal data etc.In consideration of charging over web service composition, we extend the rete algorithm; provide solutions based on lock and time-stamp. With reference to the non-block concurrent control mechanism in transaction memory, we put forward the concept of transaction charging, it gains a good performance and flexibility through fine-grained transaction control, Moreover, due to the long time span of web service composition, we improve the transaction charging to integrate the in-database recovery mechanism, it caches the intermediate results and checkpoint batchly, therefore it ensures the charging data secuirty.Finally, we implement and deploy the service charging software on the fourth party service platform, the fourth party service platform can significantly shorten the construction time of business information systems, reduce the cost of building and operation, while the corresponding charging services enable service providers to share in financial rewards properly.
