The Research And Realization Of CMMB Mobile TV Based On MTK Platform

As the more urgent need for people to diverse consumption of information, traditional simulation audio and video radio broadcasting services have not meet the need of people because of the weak ability of anti-jamming, the attenuation of signals, the absent service of program on demand and so on.The emerging China Mobile Multimedia Broadcasting (CMMB) provides kinds of portable terminal with digital audio and video and information services through radio broadcasting TV overcast net, which becomes the new tendency and trend, and also becomes the domestic profession mobile TV standard.Having studying the standard and application of CMMB. we design out a CMMB mobile terminal which is based on MTK mobile platform, and implement the specific application of CMMB mobile TV standard on the mobile terminal.The main content of this paper is as follows:1. For CMMB system architecture and technical standards have been studied, we know about the STiMi transmission technology used by physical broadcasting channel and the technology requirements of terminal product, and then we describe the anticipative functions and characteristics of mobile TV, as well as propose the mobile TV terminal solution.2. According to the terminal solution of mobile TV, we illustrate the chip selection and the hardware connecting of each function module, and we also analyze the key technologies we might encountered during the process of mobile TV designing.3. Having understood the software design tasks of mobile TV, we introduce the ideas and processes of mobile TV software design one function modules by another, especially deeply for the software design of MMP (Mobile Multimedia Processor) module. In order to reduce the power consumption, we propose a creative four working model of MMP. Meantime we make it clear that how to solve the technology problem of preserving the program information and not disappearing even when power cut off.The function and performance tests on the whole mobile TV system show that the device has implemented all the anticipative functions of CMMB mobile TV. which runs stably and reliably. Product was on sale in the market before Beijing Olympic Games.
