Based on the problems of traditional lamp lighting system which is manually controlled and provides only single lamp-optical lighting, especially lamps can't provide good lighting in time when the road surroundings and driving environment situation are bad, study on the automobile adaptive lighting system is given in this paper.Automobile adaptive lighting system which is studied in this paper can automatically provide the shape of the lighting which is needed by car in that present situation. It can provide a good lighting area, lighten the driver's working pressure and reduce the number of traffic accidents. The system in parallel with manual control won't prejudice to the manual control of light. This system is mainly composed of bend lighting, adjusting with the auto-body tilt, headlight adjustment on freeway ascent, automatically switching, lamps' fault diagnosis and headlight's function of time delay closing. It can provide good lighting in different driving environment, this is a more complete design proposal of auto intelligent lighting.The thesis firstly introduces actuality and development trend of the automobile adaptive lighting system. It gives the correlative legal basis and puts forward the whole scheme. It expounds the function and work principle of the system, and it also expounds the theory basis of the system. Then it expounds control strategy of the headlight adjustment of the system. And based on the function of the system, sensors which are needed are chosen and the positions where sensors are fixed are given. It chooses 8-bit AT89S52 as its core unit. And electric circuits of expand are designed, including data gathering and processing circuits of each sensor, signal checking circuits of each switcher, driving circuits of each stepper motor and delay, fault diagnosis and alarming circuits of each light. Software of each function module is designed and the flow charts of software are given.
