Nonlinear science is a foundational discipline which concerns on the common properties of nonlinear phenomena. Particularly, Chaos theory is one of important sub discipline of nonlinear science. Chaos is one of the most important discoveries in 20th century. In the past 20 decades, with the constant deepening of chaotic phenomena, chaotic control and synchronization have become an important issue, which was widely used in secure communication. Through theoretical proof and numerical simulation, some research is made on chaotic control, synchronization and secure communication. The author's main achievements are as follows:Based on nonlinear control theory, the stabilization of balance point of Newton-LeiPnik chaotic system is studied. A nonlinear controller was designed by the Lyapunov stable theory. It is theoretically proved that the controlled system can be stabled to balance point, and the numeral simulation verifies the effective of the proposal.Chaos synchronization of Lüsystem is studied. It is theoretically proved that the drive and response system can achieve synchronization under the chaotic controller. Numeral simulation results show that the controller works well and has strong robustness. It is also verified the larger of the value of control parameter K, the faster of achieving synchronization.Adaptive full state hybrid projective synchronization of the unified chaotic system with unknown parameters is analyzed. A new self adaptive controller is designed by the adaptive control method. It is theoretically proved that the controller can achieve the synchronization of the unified chaotic system with unknown parameters, and the numeral simulation shows the effective of the method.Based on state observer and pole placement method of chaotic synchronization technology, the author made a further study of chaos synchronization in secure communication application with the hyper chaotic Liu system. A chaotic masking secure communication scheme was designed, and the scheme is feasible, which is validated through theoretical proof and numerical simulation.
