The environment reports of China began in the 1980s. Intellectuals made the first step of environment reports in the way of reportage. Along with the slogan of literature, a group of perspicacious journalists stepped on to the stage of environment reports, Wang Yongchen is one of them. They made slogans and active actions to transmit knowledge about environment protecting and disclose behaviors about environment destroying. In this process, they gradually separated environment reports from the environment literature.In the last decade of last century, environment problems became more and more arresting around the whole world as well as in China. Mass media attached great importance to it too. All these speed environment reports get to prosperity. In this era, environment reporters represented by Wang Yongchen start thinking about giving full play to the media strength, and created a new model that environment NGO and media take the joint participation in environment reporting. It was successfully applied when reporting the hydropower construction on Nujiang. With the power of media, environment NGO made the environmental problems rise rapidly to a public issue of the whole society which affected government decision-making from the point of public opinion. Environment reports began to call on scientific and democratic considering in environmental decision-making which promoted China's development. The status of environmental news also got unprecedented increase. In the environment area, the public attention and participation keep rising. With this developing power, Wang Yongchen started "10 years'waking along the rivers"—a pure folk large-scale environment protecting campaign. It became a long-effected mechanism between environment NGO and the media. It also promoted the development of the environment career in China as well as "The century tour for China's environment". As a positive explorer, Wang Yongchen also started the first folk environmental organization "Green Home" which is the cradle of Chinese environmental journalists. This is the platform reporters can popularize ecological knowledge and exchange business as well as the command center for setting environmental issues and planning environmental reports. Several major environmental events in recent years release from here. But at the same time, with the pushing of environment organizations, all green media in China moved towards NGO.At the same time as Wang Yongchen exploring the development of environmental news, she also encounters ethics troubles which is the contradiction between objectivity and propaganda. To a large extent, it is from the double identity of the reporters-they are journalists as well as environment advocates. This caused them take the environment protecting consciousness into news reporting which resulted in serious offside in environment reporting.This kind of problems obviously reflected in Wang Yongchen's reports about Nujiang. She ignored objectivity and fairness of news reporting, and she didn't carry on all-sided analysis or equal show for all participants. In order to propagandize environment protecting, she reported with all freedom. The main reason which caused this offside is that the environmental journalists became members of NGO and the social reality of China's political and economic system. The way getting out is that the environmental journalists returning to their real job and the development of society and political and economic system.This paper attempts to summarize the enlightenment and offside in Wang Yongchen's reports as well as putting forwards my own opinions about the healthy development of environmental reporting by analyzing the breaking news and Wang's characteristic in the last 30 years.
