With the development of infrared and computer technology, dynamic infrared smoke simulation becomes an important research subject. Based on the physical models of smoke and the particle system theory, the interference effects of the infrared smoke are simulated.First, the extinction model, the dispersion model and the degradation of temperature model of infrared smoke is analyzed theoretically in this paper. Then, the current simulation methods of smoke at home and abroad are analyzed and summarized. An optimized particle system model is given based on the existing particle system theory, combined with Billboard and Texture Mapping technique. Second, a simple wind that impacts the dispersion of smoke is simulated using OGRE particle system affecter. Third, the simulation of dynamic infrared smoke is implemented using GPU (Graphic Processing Unit) programmable rendering pipeline technique, Billboard texture mapping technique and optimized particle system, combined with OGRE (Object-Oriented Graphics Rendering Engine). Finally, the algorithm, as well as the simulated images and the evaluation and analyse of the simulation result are given in detail in this paper. |
