With the rapid development of computers and Internet technology, the networkarchitecture and applications are becoming increasingly complex. The holes and threats, which we're going to be faced with, are increasing. How to get network information foranalysis, describe it correctly and directly, and present a true and direct status ofnetwork operations for the network managers have been some urgent problems waitingto be solved in the network monitoring. In order to solve these problems, networkprotocol identification and topology visualization techniques have emerged. This paper is based on the technologies of protocol identification and networktopology visualization, with the analysis on the lacks of the present protocolidentification systems and topology visualization systems, this paper provided andimplemented the network analysis system combined the visualization of the networkprotocol with protocol identification and network topology visual representation.Through the analysis and arrangement of the incoming network topology informationand network packets, gradually describe the information of the macroscopic networktopology and microscopic Inter-note communication in different levels. As the users'information choices become more gradually meticulous, the describing informationbecomes more detailed. As a result, the combination of the visualization of the networktopology structure and the network activity could come true. The decoder system, which is available for protocol identification, adopts a'tree-type'management andtransfer system. Moreover, it supports for plug-in expansion. This paper also proposed akind of general model in order to analyze the unknown'session-oriented'protocol,which can complete the analysis and identification for this kind of protocols without acorresponding decoder.
