With development of technology and extensive application of electronic equipment, electromagnetic compatibility is increasingly becoming an issue must be taken into account on national defense and scientific research. With the popularization of computers and the development of three-dimensional CAD technology, to analyze the electromagnetic compatibility of the product through computer modeling is becoming a growing trend.The technology of model format conversion and mesh surface partition which is used for the electromagnetic compatibility analysis software to the communication vehicle are studied in this paper. The main to include the following:1.As only AutoCAD is supported in the original software, here the Pro/Engineer can be supported in the new software. In the original sofetware, only two versions of AutoCAD were surported. Five more visions of AutoCAD versions are surported in the new software which achieves the support of AutoCAD from the version of AutoCAD 2002 to AutoCAD 2009. The function of transform can increase the model needed for the analysis software of electromagnetic compatibility.2.Quality factor used to determine the quality of mesh result is introduced in the paper. The quality of triangles produced by the original algorithm is determined by quality factor.Triangles with low quality factor are conbined which increased the mesh quality. Examples indicate that the new mesh partition algorithm based on quality factor is feasible and efficacious.
