Research On Wide Plate Surface Defect Detection Technology Online

With the unceasing development of production technology, the user enhancing the request of the steel plate quality, the steel plate surface quality is the important target to weigh the steel plate quality; it is very vital significance to the steel plate surface defect's examination. Therefore, how to carry on the examination effectively to the steel plate surface defect is becoming a hot topic which the domestic scholar pays attention to.This paper has studied existing technology based on the machine vision examination, proposed one kind based on the area array CCD camera steel plate surface defect examination system, and gave the corresponding project design. The system uses the area array CCD-MV-1300FM camera, implements the online examination using the imagery processing technology to the steel plate. The examination system carries on the smooth de-noising to the gain image, uses the LOG operator to carry on the edge detection for the flaw, then carries on morphology and inflation operations to the image, finally withdraws the characteristic to obtain the measurement result. The experiment indicated that the system could able to examine the size for 1mm×1mm flaw on the steel plate surface which in the transfer rate of 5m/s.
