In recent years, with the proliferation of nonlinear loads such as power electronic equipments, the amount of harmonic current has increased. The traditional passive filter could not meet the user demand of power quality. Active Power Filter may overcome the disadvantages of the traditional approaches for eliminating harmonics. With the superexcellent performance, APF has obtained more attention. Active power filter occur the compensative current that is equal to harmonic current but opposite direction that is regarded as a new equipment of eliminating harmonic, aiming to eliminate the harmony current and reactive component given to by the load.Secondly, the compensative current control strategy and the direct current side voltage control strategy of the active power filter is analyzed in detail. Triangle wave compare control is adopted in the compensative current control method and PI closed loop control is adopted in the direct current side voltage control adopts.Thirdly, the simulation models is simulated by using the system simulation of MATLAB. The detection method and the control strategy proposed are tested. Results of the simulation are verified validity and effectiveness.
