There are a long history and rich tourism resources in China, in recent years, the domestic tourism services are booming and rapidly developing, with the rapid socio-economic development and the continuous improvement of people's living level, which make an annual record of hundreds of millions of wealth for the country. China has become one of the world's four major tourism hot spots. The traditional guiding methods are being replaced by a variety of electronic guide devices, and the automatic explaination device will be the main product. While the combination of embedded systems, wireless communication, and signal processing technology has become a research focus for the tourism guiding system. The performance of the electronic equipment on the market is analyzed, a design method for the wireless tourism guiding system is proposed, which combines the 802.15.4 standard for wireless communications with the low-rate voice codec Speex. The paper introduces the system's hardware design and software development, and focuses on the wireless voice and data communication, which achieves two purposes, first, the tourists who randomly enter a show can automatically receive and play the guiding information, and the wait time is as short as possible, and secondly, the voice quality is improved by the packet loss compensation. Experimental results show that the packet loss rate is1.5% in 15 meters transmission distance, and the MOS test of voice quality is more than 3 points. The wireless speech guiding system, a combination of short-range wireless communication and digital speech processing, has a lower cost and is easy to use, there will be a wide application in tourism services.
