With development of micro-projection display and market demand of personal consumption, the foreground of micro-projection display is full of effulgence. However, the deficiency of light brightness is the deadly flaw of micro-projection. In this paper, after analyzing the relation between color gamut and brightness of micro-projection display, a new method is proposed that enhances the brightness with tri-primary correction. The main content of this paper could be divided into three parts:A systematic introduction to projection display technology development direction and technology trends is made. In the field of personal consumption and business demo application, micro-projection display will be the mainstream development. Color reproduction principles and color management methods is introduced. Based on micro-projector market position, it is reasonable that using the standard sRGB color space to evaluate the micro-projection system's color reproduction capability.The optical mechanical structure and circuit system is detailed analyzed, while it is made an introductory that focus on LED driver and system power circuit. Because of the need for primary color correction, the LED driver and system power circuit is redesigned so that it can flexibly set up the LED's working status.It is expounded the principle of the method that enhance the brightness of micro-projection display through color correction. The relation between micro-projection's brightness and the color gamut is anglicized, the simply expression is given. In context of sub-frame time could be adjusted, a least increase of three brightness is 16%.
