With the development of virtual reality technology,multi-channel projection display technology has attracted much attention in recent years,and has been widely used in entertainment education,simulation training and other fields.Nowadays,multi-channel projection CAVE system has become the mainstream of the development of naked eye virtual reality display technology,which can realize the user's multi-directional fully immersive virtual reality experience and present an immersive augmented reality picture.Aiming at the problem that the projection pictures can not connect perfectly with each other caused by the complex environment of multi-channel projection CAVE system,this paper puts forward the geometric correction,color correction and edge brightness fusion technology suitable for multi-channel projection CAVE system.The main works are as follows:(1)Due to the inflexibility of perspective transformation and Bezier surface in geometric correction of projection image,the projection image is divided into matrix blocks according to the projection environment.The geometric correction of block perspective transformation and geometric optimization of non-uniform segmented Bezier surface make it suitable for multi-channel projection CAVE system.The geometric error compensation of local Bezier surface is used to improve the accuracy of geometric correction of projection image.(2)Aiming at the problem of low accuracy of traditional B-spline curve in color correction of projection image,the quadratic B-spline curve and cubic B-spline curve are studied and compared in the correction accuracy and flexibility.It is determined that cubic B-spline curve is more suitable for color correction of projection image.RGB color space is selected and segmented Bezier curve is fused in each segment of B-spline curve for color error compensation.(3)For the limitation of attenuation function and gamma correction in the adjustment of edge brightness of projection image,the influence of parameters on smoothness and brightness value is analyzed.The appropriate parameters are selected and the edge brightness is optimized by using B-spline curve to enhance the flexibility of edge brightness adjustment of projection image.(4)The experimental scene of multi-channel projection CAVE system is used,and the average absolute error is taken as the evaluation index of geometric correction and color correction,and the peak signal-to-noise ratio is used as the evaluation index of edge brightness adjustment.The proposed projection image mosaic correction scheme is compared with the existing schemes to verify the correctness,effectiveness and feasibility of the scheme.
