The Research On Semantic Web-Oriented Ontology Mapping

Semantic Web is a new orientation of the Web.It has been a hotspot to people's discussion and study,since the concept of semantic Web be put forward by Tim Berners-Lee. Information of semantic Web is given well-defined meaning,better enabling computers and people to work in cooperation.The information is represented in structural form,in which the semantic is describled by Ontologies.An Ontology is a formal explicit specification of a shared conceptualisation.The distributed nature of Ontology development has led to a large number of Ontologies covering overlapped domains.Therefore,it is necessary to find the mapping relationship between different Ontologies to reuse and share Ontology. Ontology mapping is a process of finding the semantic relationship between heterogeneous Ontologies and expressing the relationship with fomal languages.It is important to achieve interoperation between different Ontologies in semantic Web.The key of Ontology mapping is the computation of similarities.First of all,the paper introduces some concepts and approaches which related to the semantic Web and the mapping of Ontologies,analyses the present semantic Web,and presents the status of study in the domestic and academic countries. And then contraposes the deficiency of the existing approaches,the paper designs new multi-strategy calculation method to integrated Ontology conceptional similarity .This method improves the previous method based on the WordNet, combines conception name with conception attribute, and figures out the conceptional similarity synthetically.Finally, this paper adopts Java language, JSP technology to design and implements a systerm for Ontolgy mapping called V1.0, and introduces OAEI2007 the benchmarks set of test data as the experimental data. We do experiments and analysis on the prposed algorithm.The experimental results demonstrate that our solution yields a higher precision,and then validate the feasibility and efficiency of the mapping.
