In the process of implementing ISO/TS 16949:2002 quality management system in automotive production companies, the information systems are required to support the quality management system. In order to solve the problem between implementing TS 16949 and developing information system for automotive production companies, a software development methodology of information system that supports TS 16949 is researched based on process modularity. The main work of the thesis includes:In chapter 1, the thesis research background was elaborated. The modular design method was reviewed, and then the software design methods based on modular design were reviewed and analyzed. After the review of information system that supports TS16949, the research content and the research ideas of the thesis were described at the end of this chapter.In chapter 2, the processes of TS 16949 were analyzed. The request for applying process-based approach in TS 16949 was analyzed and the reference models of canonical process in TS 16949 were established. In order to develop the software, the reference models of process were divided into several types of process modules according to the similarity in and between the processes, and then the way to join the process modules was researched. The process modules provide the basis for the design of reusable software modules.In chapter 3, requirements analysis and software development approach was studied. The data flow diagram modules and the views of ER diagram were established based on process modules, and then the way to design database conceptual model was researched. After that, the design of software interface templates and reusable software modules was given, and the method to assemble those software modules was discussed.In chapter 4, the program of how to design and develop the information management system was discussed. A brief introduction of the information system was given, and then an example of how to design the database and develop the software concerning sales contract management was provided, at last a running instance of the information system was given.In chapter 5, the whole research in this thesis and prospects for future research work were summarized.
