On Network Freedom

In modern high-tech era, network has been inseparable in many people's lives. The emergence of the network brings more convenience for people, while accompanied by a number of problems which may different from the real society. There are a range of issues such as internet addiction, network polarization, or network-based violence which are caused by pursuing excessive emotional network freedom.Network freedom does not only have the characteristics of traditional freedom, but also has its unique meaning. It shows as the network has the full freedom of choosing activities, distributing information and network contacts. At the same time, the choice in network environment has more emotional elements, the freedom in which has limited scope of law restriction, and self-discipline is not as strong as in traditional society. In general, the network freedom means the right of free choice in network environment which is the freedom on a practical sense. The rapid development of network technology, the improvement status of subjectivity in network and the relaxed environment provide the necessary conditions for the achievement of network freedom.However, the network freedom has duality and relaxed networking environment makes some people pursuit of unrestricted freedom in which are different from the real world, making the virtual world produce a series of non-rational phenomenon and presents a different evolution, such as the expanded behavior of pursuit extreme network freedom, the increasing contrast between network behavior and real behavior, and serious mental unbalance in virtual world, and lead to the ethical puzzles concern to the network design, the ethical issues among internet users and personality development, thereby causing the alienation of network freedom.How can the alienation eliminate? First, recognize the "extent" of network freedom from the constraints of the main themselves, handle the time allocation of everything in life, put action integrate with morality and be cautious even nobody around; also focus on the ethical education of network freedom, education is needed in any stages of learning; meanwhile strengthen the ethical evaluation in social supervision of network freedom; and enhance the responsibility the main constraint the free conduct on net. In order to eliminate the negative aspects of network freedom as much as possible but expand the extent of its positive aspects.
