Well logging technology is a basic technique in oil-gas exploration, its primary mission is to get the related data in real-time status, and to provide primary information for oil-gas exploration. After 1970s, the mud logging technology characterized by processing the data with computer develops gradually, and be attached more and more importance.Through analysising the development trend of mud logging systems at home and abroad, we find that there are two disadvantages in current domestic logging systems: Firstly, the "logging group" mode scatters the technical force of logging companies and increases the field personnel's working strength. When problems occur in working field, the managerial staff in logging information center cannot handled them in time because of lacking data reflecting the situation in working field. Secondly, the work environment of well logging is complex and inconstant, and the work is susceptible to natural factors and human activities, so more reliability of data acquisition are demanded as logging companies enlarge their business. But the reliability of data acquisition of domestic logging systems cannot meet the needs.On account of these problems, a kind of remote logging monitoring and management system with highly reliable data acquisition is designed in this paper. This system has the functions of data processing, data backup storage, data remote transmission, data display and fault diagnosis. Compared to the conventional logging systems, this system has two features:(1) By means of computer networking technology, this system transmits the logging data to remote control center, so the managerial staff and technicians can monitor the working field remotely in real time. In order to make the managerial staff know more situation about working field, this system also has status monitoring and management functions.(2) By adopting the dual redundant and hot-standby mode of sensor measuring units, and the dual computer hot-standby structure of data acquisition server, this system has the functions of fault diagnosis and fault-tolerance, so it increases the reliability of data acquisition of logging system effectively.Field application proved that this system can save the human resources of logging company, reduce the operation cost of company, and improve the management level and work efficiency of well logging.
