Nowadays, the inter-media service has become an important service in Internet. To realize the business operation of media service on Internet which transfers data in best-effort way, we have to develop a set of network solution to ensure the reliability of data transportation. What's more, we also need to ensure the flexibility, configuration of the system; the intelligence, adaptability of the content delivery; and the efficiency of the directory search.The thesis discussed the general design of MDN briefly and focused on the design and implementation of MM and DS on the basis of MDN design.The MM adopted the structure concept to implement the content distribution module and statistic data collection module which ensure the flexibility and configuration to realize the business operation.On the basis of professional peer node of MDN, DS adopted the central directory search strategy plus distributed sub directory search to ensure the scalability. The paper proposed the dual memory directory mirror and hash table search concept to ensure the efficiency of directory search.On the design and implementation of content distribution module, we introduced the content split concept to MDN; based on user action, we proposed dual weigh value configuration to meet the requirement of content popularity difference; we introduced the hash concept to designate the main PN to solve the load balance problem emerged in PN server cluster; in order to alleviate the cost of content adjustment, we proposed sequential storage from main storage PN strategy and concept of content adjustment from rear.The proto-type system has been running in Shanghai on 3TNet successfully for more than one and half a year to provide high quality stream-media service for more than 10 thousand users. The optimized system is almost done based on the proto-type.
