With the rapid development of the network technology and the promotion of enterprise information,the remote monitor and control system attracting more and more attention on research and development,which combines the traditional remote monitor system and Web technology,is one of the developing directions of supervisory control field.The remote monitor technology is the network technology,the computer technology and the control technology union,it has fully used the existing local area network and the WAN infrastructure,for the factory district interior local area network monitor as well across local,the cross province transnational monitoring has even provided one new effective control method.The research of Web-based remote monitor and control system has lot of significance such as reduce the risk of accidents, facilitate the daily management.The common design patterns of Web-based remote monitor and control system are researched and the architecture and design plan of Web-based remote monitor and control system is proposed in this paper.The Web-based remote monitor and control system which has three layers include data acquisition layer,Web server data-processing layer,terminal control layer.The design plan of Web-based remote monitor and control system is that the data acquisition Layer use of industrial ethemet, the server data-processing layer using the Ruby on Rails as programming language and using MySQL as database.This paper analyses the advantages and disadvantages of this framework by comparing Ruby on Rails with the classic J2EE architecture "Spring+Struts+Hibemate" from three different layers based on MVC(model-view-controller) pattern.According to the design project of Web-based remote monitor and control system, a remote monitor experiment is designed in this paper in basis of laboratory apparatus which based on PLC,and the function of every part of the system and implementation methods is explained.In the end,through the actual operation to verify the implementation of Web-based remote monitor and control system is feasible.
