The content of micro-moisture will affect the control of production process and the quality of terminal production in the production and research. Micro-moisture Meter (MM) is an important precision analysis instrument for analyzing micro-moisture, and it is widely used in some fields such as petrochemical industry,atomic industry, electronics power industry,defense industry,scientific research and quality technology supervision . etc.Karl Fischer Method (KFM) is a classical and reliable measurement method of micro-moisture. The research in this paper is to study the micro-moisture meter instrument based on the Karl Fischer Method,which calculates moisture content through electric quantity of electrolysis consumption according to the faraday electrolysis law. The measurement process is controlled by MCU intelligently. And the measurement result is more precise than other measurement methods. The research and development of Micro-moisture Meter (MM) is involving knowledge of analytical chemistry, mechtronic, automation, computer science, etc. This paper is studied that how to use these related technologies in the development of Micro-moisture Meter (MM) system. And it discusses the development and design process of the related software-hardware system of Micro-moisture Meter (MM) systematically.It describes the development and research status of micro-moisture meter at home and abroad, and determines the micro-moisture measure method of Karl Fischer Method (KFM), and detailedly describes the moisture measurement principle of Karl Fischer Method. Micro-moisture Meter is composed of electrolysis system, hardware circuit and software program, and detailedly describes the structure and characteristics of Micro-moisture Meter based on the three parts. This paper discusses the function principle of some mainly circuit module as electrolysis current occurrence and control circuit, electric quantity integral circuit and endpoint indicator circuit takes MCU AT89C55WD as core in related hardware design study of micro-moisture meter based on the KFM. It accomplished the hardware circuit design of the system and determined the electrical parameters, chip selection and layout design according to the actual application condition of instrument. Then it designs the software of related system according to the characteristic of intelligent instrument control system, and detailedly describes the design and realization method of each function sub-module program. In the end, it summarizes the research contents and the task of this paper, and prospects the future development and research direction of micro-moisture meter.
