With the development of Internet technology, the backbone network and access network speed up continuously, continue to improve, the provision of broadband applications which has provided for the necessary basic hardware for wide band application. Because of growing network of video contents, VOD system in the network and video server terminals are faced with great challenges. Metro broadband network is a high-bandwidth, high reliability network. At present, the traditional wide-area network based on the CDN technology is applied in the broadband networks, but the performance is not ideal. Therefore, as for broadband metro network environment, the research of CDN technology in VOD system load and storage balancing strategy will be necessary. In addition, the research under the Metro Broadband Network VOD system CDN technology will prepare for the future high-bandwidth, high reliability, the next generation CDN technology of the Internet.VOD system structure, CDN technology, metro broadband network on the basis of characteristics, together with the VOD system operation problems found in long-term, the combination of CDN technology and the characteristics of metropolitan broadband network, using the methods of the theory in practice, the thesis proposes a method of balanced strategy of CDN and content storage method and be verified.Improved CDN system is a central control and distribution deal with the collaborative structure, this structure has a stronger ability than traditional CDN load sensing and heterogeneous collaboration to maintain the features of simple, easy-develop, easy-maintain of the center of the source control system and the central store is expanded resources is distributed in network, when publishing the source nodes play the role of distribution, dealing with the transfer process.System adopt the mode of combination of part storage of the cache copy and a whole, from different levels of granularity to improve the content of visiting and a balanced distribution of the nearest. At the distribution of media files and users on basic statistics, design and implementation CDN suitable streaming media server strategy and alarm monitoring model.This paper proposes the distribution of streaming media problem, based on "load -heat". That is, the distribution of streaming media technology, combined with load-balancing scheduling records and user access behavior, to determine the heat streaming media, and then consider the node capacity and load distribution to the management of CDN in a copy of a balanced distribution of data throughout the different nodes of the CDN network to solve the imbalance data load brought about by inter-node problem of load tilt. Improve the throughput of the entire overlay network and resource utilization. System load balancing improve efficiency at the same time, effectively improve the utilization of storage, the system cost savings. Other VOD system can be used as the reference implementation.
