Virtual surgery system uses a variety of medical imaging data and virtual reality technology, sets up a simulated environment, so that doctors can be trained with virtual information, getting surgical planning in order to guide the course of the actual surgical operation.The research of virtual surgery system stems from the emergence of minimally invasive therapy. Minimally invasive treatment requested medical personnel to grasp the series of special technology and training costs of these technologies are very expensive. A training method is the use of animal or man-made organizations, but they can not show the pathological conditions and complexity of organizational entities. Another method is to use live animals to operate, but moral, ethical, cost and other practical experimental reasons restricte the use of the method. The reasons for this are the same happened at the early stages of training, that is, surgery is applied to real patients. Therefore, computer-based training system is a very good solution.Current most virtual surgery simulation system, focusing primarily on the study of the implementation of endoscopic surgery training, the hand-eye co-operation and sport-specific skills necessary for the mission, such as crawling, stitching, etc. However, for the surgeon, the surgery to complete the experience is equally important. The surgeon must be able to perform the correct tasks in the correct sequence, and must be able to quickly and appropriately respond to any unexpected events or mistakes. Therefore, the adoption of medical simulation systems, can allow students to receive training on the operation of the entire process with a clear understanding, and it will be conducive to teaching and training.It is in such demand, the paper present here a behavior engine in virtual surgery system that incorporates an ability to detect discrete events, and that uses these events to track the logical flow of the procedure as performed by the trainee. In addition, the paper provides a script instrument, so that the expert can design the operation flow and applied to teaching.In this paper, the system has three characteristics: first, the concept of behavior engine is introduced to the virtual surgery system, and the author implements the behavior engine using finite state machine. Second, the script instrument, making available to the experts to perform an operation flow without studying the script languages. Third, during the surgery simulation, events will feedback to the user by the text box timely. Using the system, experts can easily design flow operation, and students can conduct the entire process of surgical training.
