Research And Achievement Of Cooperation-based Virtual Experiment

The unceasing improvement of the computer network technology, the mechanics of communication and the multimedia technology promote the modern distance learning fast development, but because of separation of distance education's space and time, The long-distance experiment is a difficult problem in distance education's development process. During the course of practicing deeply in distance education, researchers are paying more attention on how to establish a virtual experiment environment for long-distance learners to provide interactive experiments. Moreover, along with university's experiment educational reform, university's experiment teaching must change traditional educational model and teaching idea, seeks teaching method close to the experiment teaching goal. Along with internet's development, Computer Supported Cooperative Work (CSCW) is not only an important direction of networking development, but also a development trends in such as education, scientific research and product design domain. The paper introduces mainly how to combine cooperative learning theory, CSCW Idea based on network and virtual experiment, for accomplishing multi-user cooperative experiment system which based on Internet.This article first introduces virtual experiment's concept and the characteristic, virtual experiment teaching characteristic, superiority and insufficiency, then introduces cooperation virtual experiment's rationale in detail, as well as cooperation theory of learning in modern distance learning and general education application necessity and feasibility. With that, elaborates the cooperation theory of learning realized strategy in the virtual experiment. Secondly, the article elaborates the cooperation virtual experiment system frame's principle of design, the architecture, the design goal, the functional module and the work flow, then elaborates the related idea and technologies of cooperation experiment system. In addition, the article constructed a cooperative virtual experiment's prototype system to demonstrate virtual experiment's cooperative mechanism. Finally, both summary of our research and analysis of prospects of cooperation virtual experiment in the thesis are given.
