Pipeline transport becomes more and more important, and species are more and more, which includes tap water, recycled water, sewage, oil, natural gas and so on. Given the channel environment, it is difficult to carry out real-time monitoring for the use of underground pipes, so it is difficult to predict pipeline's dangerous, it is also impossible to respond to the dangerous situations for the first time. This has required a terminal equipment, which can real-time monitoring of the status of crucial pipe wells, and when occur abnormal situation, which will be instantly sent a state of abnormal to Monitoring Center, this can be very good grasp of the various pipe-wells situation happened when dangerous situation when a timely response.This article is about develop of a remote terminal equipment, which uses of modern scientific and technological means to monitor the important pipe-wells, and to make real-time reporting of the dangerous. This system's CPU is AT91RM9200 microprocessor as the core is ARM9,which gathers the data through A/D module and the Hart module, and transmits the data to the monitoring center system after process processing by the GPRS module. This system's software is compiled in cross compiling environment of the Linux operating system's virtual machine and the ARM platform, which owns very good stability and low power loss. This article talked about the status of pipeline and remote monitoring technology; analysed the market feasibility and technical feasibility of the pipe well remote monitoring system; introduced the characteristics, status, trends of embedded systems, and systems development platform and development tools. This paper introduces this system from system's overall design, the hardware design and the software design.This terminal equipment can monitor liquid flow, pressure of pipe wall, and whether there is liquid leakage through the sensors and so on, whose functions is to be cut or expand, which may be added or deleted this Terminal features to meet maximum the needs of different pipe and different user.
