Research And Application Of Software Testing Based On SCRUM Process

SCRUM is one of the most popular and newly created agile software development methodologies, in many Chinese companies, agile methodology is just copied and applied quite mechanically, and the core spirit is digged not enough.This paper summarized the currently software testing technology by practicing with Micrisoft project, based on the analysis and conclusion of each stage in the SCRUM methodology, it designed and applied a new testing model of testing solution on the platform of Visual Studio Team System(VSTS).This paper introduces the testing application of ReachOut project by integrating with SCRUM and VSTS. Besides this, it also introduces the current hottest testing methods, and based on the support platform of VSTS, it implemented User Interface (UI) testing by using Microsoft Automation of UI (MAUI) which also based on the .net framework. And also by the supporting of VSTS test suite, it implemented the data driven Application Programm Interface (API) testing.During the research with the pratice project, this paper has following achievements: 1) Using SCRUM methodology to guide testing project management, it proves the feaseability of SCRUM on testing project; 2) By integrating VSTS and SCRUM, it implemented the UI automation and API tesing on the support platform of VSTS; 3) By integrating SCRUM metholodgy with testing, achieved great improvement on both experience and management methodology.The author's responsibility and the point of creation on the project is mainly the design of testing methodology on SCRUM, and anticipated the plan, excution, management on the testing project.
