Electronic Mail is a communication tool to provide information exchange, which is a most widely used Internet service. It's used easily, fast and has a large capability of information. It greatly meets people's communication needs, and becomes a very important part of people's work and life. Typically, people use computer connecting to Internet to receive and send emails. However, with the development of high-speed modern society, people, especially businessman and engineer who usually have to deal with emergency emails, are no longer content with the above-mentioned way which obviously is not convenient. So "anytime and anywhere" PushEmail Service came into being.PushEmail Service is a mobile VAS(value added service) which can instantly push user's new emails arrived mail server to user's handset and remind user to read these emails, also can quickly send user's new mails written throught handset to destination. PushEmail Service is a bridge between mobile device access to the wireless network and mail system access to Internet. It frees user from the restrictions of place and time. User can easier and quicker to receive and send mails. User especially enterprise user deals with emails more easily than before, thus could significantly improve work efficiency. On the other hand, mobile operators could effectively improve network bandwidth utilization, reduce the loss of customers and take it as an important mobile data service of future to increase income by developing PushEmail service.The article is organized like this: we firstly introduce the definition of PushEmail Service, the system framework, the functions of main network elements such as PushEmail Gateway, Corporation Email Proxy Gateway, Public Email Proxy Gateway; and the relationship between them in Chapter 1. The second chapter researches the requirement of PushEmail Service. It brings forward the general features of common email service, such as email receiving-sending and email filtering; and the special features such as one-touch launch and SIM account authorization. In the third chapter, we research and design service flows. According to corporate users or individual users, we respectively introduce the flows of business process, registration and write-off. The next Chapter IV focuses on the interfaces between the network elements and the definition of massage delivered between the interfaces, especially the Terminal-Corporation Email Proxy Gateway/ Public Email Proxy Gateway Interface, which directly related to user experience so as to its messages should be simple, functional and extensible. The fifth chapter briefly introduces terminal and its requirement. At last, we summarize the key problems in the research and design of PushEmail Service, and provide the outlook of the future of the service.
