Research On Secure Storage Of Virtual Disk

With the rapid development of the electronic information technology, the electronic file is used extensively. The security of the electronic information becomes focus in the field of information security. The secure storage of e-file is the precondition of ensuring information security, which is generally realized by encryption.Firstly describes the several key technologies of current secure storage technology, encrypt/decrypt the storage data; authorization; data backup and tragedy tolerate; audit and track, and so on. Then introduce the working principle of the virtual disk. The virtual disk creates an image file on the physical disk, and mounts it as virtual disk. The virtual disk driver accesses all of the e-files on the virtual disk.Then, by analyzing and designing the reliable secure storage system of the virtual disk, it gives out the overall structure and function module. Basing on the different requirements of each layer, it provides all-around and three-dimensional secure supporting in the storage process. Authorization is in the application layer, system protection is in the system service layer, file access controlling is in the file system driver layer, encrypting/decrypting data and backup/restoring strategy in the virtual disk driver layer.Lastly, by using the windows kernel development kit to implement core function of the system, the hardest part is the driver development. Design and implement the kernel driver application, and give out the key technologies in detail and the source code sample. Summary the research on secure storage of virtual disk, and expect the direction of the future work.
