Research & Implementation Of Enterprise Data Management System

With the development of IT management in enterprises, more and more information systems are running inside companies such like ERP system, SCM system, CRM system etc. A huge amount of data is created by those systems during operation, they can be clas-sified into two types including transaction data and master data, both types of data have deferent characteristics. With the accumulation of those data especially the master data and transaction data which need to be shared, it is needed for one system which can do data exchange and integration. Current know-how of enterprise data management is analyzed in this document andin which different methodology of managing data is also listed. While data warehouse technology can be used to integrate historical data for enterprise to do decision-making analyze; but for master data and some transaction data which need to be shared by other application systems, one central data management system need be established to manage those data which are in deferent systems. A solution of setting up a central enterprise data management system is provided in paper. Dispersive data are integrated into this system and shared among deferent systems by data exchange technology.Our research work includes following aspects:(1) Study enterprise data management related theories, analyze types of data related to this paper and give the reason why central data management system must be es-tablished.(2) Study related theories and technologies of data exchange and data integration. Compare several know-how and technologies of data integration and data ex- change. A solution is decided at last which is base on middleware platform, data adapters are used for data transformation and webservices are used for data ex-change.(3) Base on theories studied, an enterprise data management system is designed, in which the most important parts: data exchange layer of system, data adapters, in-termediate data format and data exchange methodology are described detailed. That system is developed and implemented according to the requirement of com-pany and finally the main functionalities are fulfilled.The result of study of the article will do benefits for enterprise data management es-pecially for master data and transaction data which need to be shared with other informa-tion systems. It will improve efficiency of data management in enterprise and reduce er-rors in work.
